The village of Akbük is, tucked in behind the headland of Karaburun, a truly Turkish resort and you may find many Turkish people holidaying here from places like Istanbul and Ankara.  There are two restaurants offering good Turkish food.  Altaş Restaurant has a "T" jetty enabling up to 15 yachts mooring in 3 to 4 metres of depth and they supply 10 mooring lines.  They offer free electricity and water and a WC.  Their food is tasty with Rock Lobster on the menu and the restaurant has a nice Turkish air about it.  The second restaurant is the Doğa, the words mean in Turkish "nature" and that is exactly what you get.  However having said that they supply moorings for up to 15 yachts and 10 lazy lines.  There is also a mini market so you can get some provisions here.

After breakfast give yourself time to slip round to just inside the headland, Karaburun, protecting Akbük from the prevailing winds and seas, approximately 1.35 NM, as you will find an idylic anchorage to enjoy a snorkell and swim before the days sail.
