This snug bay has been occupied for hundreds of centuries by various peoples as a small community. There simple lives have been busy with fishing, the production of olives, and some small boat repairs.
On the west side of the creek are the ruins of two old dwellings with vaulated roofs, they look like small chapels. Also within the shallow part of the bay one can fined footing remains of buildings now under-water.
A short walk over the saddle of the hill, and amoungst the pine cladded slopes, offers stunning views over Ragged Bay and across Fethiye Körfezi. From here just over an hours walk to the south west you can reach ‘ancient Lydae’ once a member of the Lycian Federation and part of the Roman Empire.
The restaurant at the head of the small bay has two jettys / pontoons and both have tailed mooring lines so there is no need to anchor - there is no electricity or water here. Although it is advised that you prepare your fenders and lines before you enter the creek as it is a small area to manoeuvre in and the wind can be fresh from then south west. You can also obtain a quality shave, haircut and body massage in a thatched room overlooking the ancient bay.
The bay offers some great swimming and snorkelling of the stern of your yacht.
