Wall Bay is the furthest bay to the south west of Skopea Limanı and probably one of the prettiest with a great anchorage. The west end of the bay is on the Isthmus to the Mediterranean and you can see a really large ancient wall that starts next to the waters edge and traverses across the Isthmus. This wall was a defence wall to protect ancient Lydae on the peninsula from being attacked from the mainland.
The bay’s shore line is covered in beautiful green trees leading down to the waters edge. There is evidence that there has been a community living around Wall Bay area since before Christ .
Early morning at Wall Bay
A large restaurant set on the north shore line which possess two long pontoon jetties and any yacht visiting this restaurant must be set up to go alongside, but be aware that the inner most jetty is close to the shore line and leaves little room for error when leaving the next morning. The restaurant pontoons have space for up to 35 yachts. There are showers and toilets available and a TV or you can play volleyball.
The restaurant has a very large space on land to hold any type of fun function a they are able to spit roast a lamb for up to 16 people. The owner also enjoys playing a Turkish violin and singing especially Anatolian music. In the morning you can buy a freshly backed loaf of bread. Telephone 0090 544 325 1039. Often Turkish speed boats visit the bay to offer any type of water sport rides you may like to try.
From this restaurant or anchorage Cleopatra’s baths are a short dinghy ride away or a 15 minute walk around the shore line into Ruin Bay. You are able to leave your yacht during the day if you would like to visit ancient Lydae.
